About this Course

This comprehensive course is designed to provide participants with technical and management tools that enable them to fulfill the role of representative or team coordinator during external checks, deliveries or special projects. About this Course

Large projects such as cabin retrofits, freighter conversions, etc., are undoubtedly of high impact and visibility for the Organization, not only because of the significant economical investment they require. When an Operator bids or works on the selection of one or more Suppliers, a fierce competition inevitably arises among bidders, who invest a lot of time studying every detail to position themselves with the best offer. However, this means that if the Client does not work in the same way, many details not considered in the quoted Fixed Price will arise during the project's development, resulting in additional costs that the Supplier will claim. This will lead to discussions, tension, and could affect normal progress of the Project. Given this scenario, the main purpose of this course is to share experiences, analyze details of these special projects for optimal planning, ensure proper coordination of different actors, and provide both, strategies and negotiation tools when dealing with OEMs or STC Holders.

About this Course

This course covers the concepts of minimum operating stock and minimum stock for maintenance support to prevent delays in the return to service of aircraft undergoing major checks and provides tools for calculating these parameters. It also offers concepts on supply networks and supply chain logistics, along with negotiation strategies to define favorable contracts for the Operator with various service providers, whether transportation or pool services. Participants will acquire necessary knowledge to outline policies of the Supply Chain and Logistics area, ensuring adequate support for both operations and maintenance teams.

This course is designed to illustrate participants on the importance of maintenance records and their orderly storage, retention periods, and proper completion for their validity according to aviation regulations, recognize when a record is considered complete and the meaning of "dirty finger." This training also covers topics of mandatory documents and alerts, how they originate, and their legal impact. For companies operating with MXI, this training includes detailed use of this system and how to get the most out of it since it is not originally designed for aviation maintenance, is not intuitive, and requires special attention to achieve its maximum performance in the accurate and efficient entry of maintenance records into the MXI system. Participants will gain extensive knowledge about importance of maintenance documentation as a support for an aircraft's airworthiness and responsibility that the correct management of it represents.
